BMW Art Car 16 by Olafur Eliasson. 🧊 Olafur Eliasson's BMW Art Car transformed a hydrogen-powered BMW H2R race car by replacing its outer body with steel mesh, reflective panels, and layers of ice to underline the relationship between car design and climate change. The frozen vehicle has only been publicly presented three times since its world premiere in 2007. Earlier this year, the apprentices in Dingolfing restored the 16th BMW Art Car with great precision. Now, the car's air-conditioned interior is ready to accommodate up to 5 visitors who can walk inside the shell to experience BMW’s pioneering work in alternative energy and sustainable mobility.
