George Wolfe, a Los Angeles River advocate and LA River Expeditions founder, gives guided tours along the river in Los Angeles, California. In 2008 Wolfe helped lead a 51-mile kayak expedition down the Los Angeles River to demonstrate that the waterway was navigable, helping pave the way for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to grant the river protections under the Clean Water Act in 2010.
