In the middle of a crisis, evidence is the last thing on a parent's mind. Here's what helps. - First, safety: if your child is in danger, call or text 988 or go to the nearest ER - Don't delete the app or wipe the device. Chat logs are often the most important evidence - Save screenshots, usernames, account and subscription records, dates, and device info - Build a timeline of behavior changes, and note any therapy or hospital visits One safety exception: if you come across a sexual image of a minor, do not save, screenshot, or share it. Report it to NCMEC (
missingkids.org) and law enforcement. Then talk to someone who does this. @Morgan & Morgan offers free, confidential case reviews. The Fee Is Free. Nothing unless they win.
877-667-4265. You don't have to figure out the legal part alone. Just don't let the evidence disappear first. Source: Morgan & Morgan family guidance,
