An 84 year old woman was taken out of her Tucson home six months ago and she’s still missing. On Friday, investigators released the ransom notes and told the public exactly what they need from us. Nancy Guthrie was taken from her home in the Catalina Foothills on the night of January 31. She’s the mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI Phoenix Field Office put out redacted copies of two notes that were emailed to KOLD News 13 in Tucson under the subject line “News Tip.” The sender’s name, email address, date of birth and the bitcoin address were all redacted. The first note arrived in early February addressed to Savannah. It said her mother was safe but scared, demanded $4 million in bitcoin, and said she would be held a maximum of seven days.
