Arizona, this is your chance to make thousands of drivers read your joke while sitting in traffic 😂 ADOT is accepting ideas for its annual Safety Message Contest. So if you’ve ever looked at a freeway sign and thought, “I could write something better,” now you have to prove it. Messages must fit on three lines with no more than 18 characters per line. No hashtags, phone numbers, websites or emojis, but you can submit as many ideas as you want through August 4 at azdot.gov/SignContest. ADOT will select at least 10 finalists before Arizona votes for its favorites. The top two messages earn the ultimate prize: statewide exposure and absolutely no escape for anyone driving to work.
