Phoenix is leading the country’s hotel boom. A new Lodging Econometrics report forecasts 26 hotel openings across the Phoenix market by the end of 2026, adding approximately 3,615 rooms throughout the Valley. That puts Phoenix ahead of New York and Dallas, which are each projected to open 20 hotels this year. Phoenix also currently has 31 hotel projects representing another 4,621 rooms under construction. The pace is expected to slow next year, but not by much. Phoenix is forecast to open another 16 hotels in 2027, ranking behind only Dallas and Atlanta. Does the Valley need more hotels, or would you rather see more housing built?
