Less than two minutes on Arizona pavement left a Tempe man with second-degree burns on both feet. Brandon Puglisi ran outside barefoot after his dog Linda escaped through a door accidentally left open. By the time he crossed the street back, the pain had already set in. His feet are now wrapped 23 hours a day, he cannot drive and he has already made two hospital visits. Linda was found unharmed. Concrete and pavement can become significantly hotter than the air, and Arizona Burn Center doctors say they treat contact burns like this every day during the summer. Keep shoes near the door, never let children walk barefoot and check surfaces before allowing pets outside. If someone is burned, use room-temperature water, never ice, cover the area with a clean, dry dressing and seek medical care. Be honest, do you still walk barefoot to the mailbox or take the trash out during an Arizona summer? Via: AZFamily / Arizona Burn Center Send us your stories to be featured on the page. #Ariz...
