Arizona residents will soon have the chance to bring home a wild burro for as little as $125. The Bureau of Land Management is holding three placement events in Florence for burros gathered from public lands. Most will be untrained and available for $125 on a first-come, first-served basis. Some of the burros were trained by inmates through Arizona Correctional Industries at the Florence prison. Those animals will be demonstrated at 9:30 a.m. on August 14 before being auctioned starting at $500. Any trained burros not sold during the auction will become available first come, first served. The events will be held July 31, August 7 and August 14 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Florence Wild Horse and Burro Training and Off-Range Corral, located at 17989 E. Butte Avenue.
