Three Union Pacific train cars came off the track near Center Street and Broadway Road just after midnight Tuesday. Mesa police were called out around 12:20 a.m. for traffic control. Mesa Fire and Medical says all three cars stayed upright and there were no leaks, no smoke, no fire and nobody hurt.
Broadway reopened in both directions shortly before 5 a.m. Union Pacific is still investigating what caused it as crane crews get things back on track.
