This is why we do what we do. Thanks to the Toadfish Conservation Coalition, Corey Bishop, and SCDNR, we were able to deploy a brand new oyster reef right here in Charleston. These reefs do so much more than just protect our coastline. They help reduce marsh erosion, provide the perfect place for oyster spat to settle and grow, and create thriving habitat for fish, crabs, shrimp, and countless other marine life.
