#DEVELOPING: Agriculture authorities have just confirmed Victoria's first case of deadly bird flu. The H5 strain virus was detected in a greater crested tern at Portland, about 350km south-west of Melbourne towards Mount Gambier. It comes after local transmission of the strain was confirmed in South Australia earlier this week, marking a significant escalation in the outbreak. #9News
