We post videos daily online and many of our viewers like to tell us when it is their birthday. Well, this is our way of wishing you all a happy birthday! In this video, Jared letterpress prints some classy birthday greeting cards using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press. The ink is a mix of purple and opaque white oil base ink and the font for the text is 24 point Caslon. The type states, “Happy Birthday to the classiest person I know!” The electrotype (copy of a woodcut) of the classy lady is from the Lewis Winter Collection and it was made about 125-135 years ago.
