During pregnancy, Samantha and Jeremy found out their baby would be born with clubfoot. While they didn’t know exactly what that meant for their son, Cameron, they were no strangers to the condition. Each of them was born with clubfoot, too. “We had comfort in knowing that our parents went through it, and he’s going to be fine,” Samantha says. “I knew clubfoot never held me back from anything.” While clubfoot isn’t necessarily passed down, during an ultrasound, doctors noticed Cameron’s feet were twisted inward and downward due to tight tendons. Samantha met right away with pediatric orthopedic surgeon Dr. Margaret Siobhan Murphy-Zane, who made an individualized care plan. “It was so helpful that we knew exactly what treatment looked like, what the timeline would look like and what it would cost us,” Samantha says.
