At the moment, we’re seeing so many headlines about Lebanon and Beirut that it’s easy to forget there’s a whole other side to this incredible city. This is what we see day to day. Families out together, people walking along the marina, children playing, enjoying the seafront, friends meeting for coffee, and some of the warmest, most hospitable people I’ve ever met. One of my favourite places to hang in the summer evenings is Zaituna Bay. If you go, you have to stop at @emsherifseacafe I always order the shrimp hummus, and the rose water sorbet is refreshing and delicious! If you’ve got little ones, there’s a great soft play and arcade area to burn off energy before dinner @buzzplaypark , and if you fancy it hire a bike from Beirut by Bike @beirutbybike (Although for keen cyclists I should say it’s very limited in the city ) There is so much beauty, warmth and life here that never makes the headlines.
