Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Shemar Stewart suffered a left leg injury during the first training camp practice on July 29 and was carted off the field to receive further medical evaluation. Stewart is dealing with a hyperextended knee, head coach Zac Taylor said. "He fortunately avoided major injury," Taylor said. "He hyperextended his knee, it will be several weeks. It's hard to pinpoint exactly how much of training camp that will be." The injury took place on Stewart’s second rep of team drills. Stewart was lined up across from offensive lineman Cody Ford and got tangled up with him as he fell to the ground. Stewart immediately grabbed his left leg and was unable to put any weight on his leg as he left the field. Read more at the link in our bio.
