Omarion Davis didn’t begin playing football until his freshman year of high school. Growing up as a basketball player in Charlotte, he decided to try something new—and that decision eventually led him to Penn State. The Nittany Lions safety discusses his Charlotte roots, his family’s influence, looking up to Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, adjusting to Division I football at Boston College and why he could not turn down the opportunity to join Penn State. As the first person in his family to play Division I football, Davis is determined to create a new legacy for the generations that follow him.
