It’s time for this week’s #Five4Friday! Meet McKenna Ross, a reporter at MLive, from the School of Journalism class of 2019. Q: What do you like most about your job? I've really enjoyed talking to people in different communities. I cover local governments in Washtenaw County and it's amazing to hear how many similar and different problems can happen in a small region. It's exciting to get to know what matters most to different groups and what is affecting them. Q: How did your experience at the J-School prepare you for your career? J-School classes were particularly helpful honing skills beyond the story. Yes, I learned the WWWWWH and inverted pyramid, but I also learned how to search for intriguing details, use multimedia to my advantage and be on social media to promote my stories.
