It's #Five4Friday! Meet... Rose Keane M.A. 2012 Communications Coordinator School of Integrative Biology University of Illinois Q: How did you choose the MSU J-School? A: The J-School at MSU was one of the only schools at the time that was doing real environmental journalism. I saw that opportunity to take my undergrad background in biology and turn it towards the public and I decided to run with it! Q: What do you like most about your current job? A: In my current role, I manage the communications for the School of Integrative Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I cover the departments of Plant Biology, Animal Biology, and Entomology, and I love the range of research that I get to see and write about. There’s everything from how crops will be impacted by climate change, what we can learn about how bee species are impacted by pesticides, what an animal’s bite pattern can teach us about its evolution, how different ant species behave....the list goes on ...
