A: I love telling stories that add value to people’s lives. As journalists, we have the incredible daily task of gathering information that’s not only factual, but impactful to the community we serve. I do consider our jobs as being public servants in a way. Local journalism consists of long hours, high pressure situations and, at times, reporting on tragic events. But our job also gives us the ability to directly connect with thousands of people through a minute and a half piece, or a short news article, to give them the information they need.
