My interest in the nonprofit sector actually began with my participation in MSU's Study Away Program in Washington, D.C. I always had an interest in advocacy and that led to my time as a Publications & Magazine intern with the Human Rights Campaign. During that time, I figured out how I could couple my journalism education with my interest in mission-driven work.
