Since realeasing their debut album “Halcyon,” Irish band Kingfishr has skyrocketed to success. They have landed on the Official Irish Albums Chart and sold out arenas across Ireland. Yesterday, the band brought their indie-rock and Celtic folk music to Lollapalooza — their first American festival. The band performed alongside other Irish artists at the festival, such as pop singer CMAT, Irish folk band Amble, dance-punk duo Chalk, and electronic dance music producer Kettama.  Thousands of miles away from home, lead vocalist Eddie Keogh believes Chicago is a special city with deep Irish roots dating back to the 1830s. Today, Chicago’s Irish population is about 200,000. “It is kind of a mad mix of kind of a homecoming, but also like being out in a big city,” he said. “It’s very cool.” To read more, head to depauliaonline.com or click the link in our bio. 🇮🇪☘️ — ✍️ : Lindsay Freiberger 📸 : Anna Barth #lolla #kingfishr
