How do I survive 2-hour treadmill runs? People ask me this all the time. Here’s the truth. 1. Have a purpose. Don’t just hop on the treadmill and hope for the best. Every long run should have a goal. Easy aerobic base. Marathon pace. Progression run. Intervals. When you know why you’re running, the time goes by much faster. 2. Break it into mini workouts. I almost never think… “I have two hours left.” Instead, I break it into smaller chunks. 20 minutes easy. 20 minutes at marathon pace. 10 minutes easy. 30 minutes steady.
