Continuing on with our standing projections for the 2026-2027 season, we've got the Detroit Red Wings at

Things are going to get rough for Detroit. Even if Larkin somehow starts the season on the team, the locker room chemistry is going to be at an all-time low. And if he is moved and it's for the projected return of mainly futures? Detroit's centre depth is completely atrocious. Would be one of Copp/Kasper/Compher/Danielson as a 1C. Sheesh.
Their wings are a positive. I'm super high on Raymond as a player, and DeBrincat is an automatic 30 goals a season minimum. Arvidsson, while not a top-six forward, is a good offensive piece, and I expect Brandsegg-Nygard to take a step forward. But without the centre talent, Detroit's going to have a really tough time producing offense.
Defensively, Detroit is in an interesting spot. Edvinsson & Seider have the potential to be the best defensive pairing in the league. But then a Chiarot & Faulk pairing could be pretty rough in a top-four ro...
