Continuing on with our standing projections for the 2026-2027 season, we've got the Detroit Red Wings at #28. Things are going to get rough for Detroit. Even if Larkin somehow starts the season on the team, the locker room chemistry is going to be at an all-time low. And if he is moved and it's for the projected return of mainly futures? Detroit's centre depth is completely atrocious. Would be one of Copp/Kasper/Compher/Danielson as a 1C. Sheesh. Their wings are a positive. I'm super high on Raymond as a player, and DeBrincat is an automatic 30 goals a season minimum. Arvidsson, while not a top-six forward, is a good offensive piece, and I expect Brandsegg-Nygard to take a step forward. But without the centre talent, Detroit's going to have a really tough time producing offense. Defensively, Detroit is in an interesting spot.
