Meet Coach William Rudd, Head Coach of the Top Pups Kindergarten-1st Grade Coach Rudd has been a part of the Harrison Top Dog Wrestling team since 2017 and the guy who can turn any practice into a masterclass in grit, heart, and good old-fashioned hard work. Coach Rudd brings decades of experience to the mat. He wrestled at El Cajon Valley High School in sunny San Diego (1987–1989), then went on to play football at Grossmont Junior College before graduating from San Diego State University. After college, he took on a new challenge: becoming a United States Marine Corps Officer. While at The Basic Officer’s Course (5-95), you could still find him on the mats, competing in intramural and exhibition matches—because once a wrestler, always a wrestler.
