Have you ever seen a total solar eclipse? 🌚 🌞 You might get your chance on 12 August 2026. It happens when the Moon slips right between us and the Sun. And here’s the only reason total eclipses exist at all: the Sun’s about 400 times wider than the Moon, but it also sits about 400 times farther away, so the two look almost exactly the same size in our sky.
