In another great discussion from Jo Whiley's 1998 show, Placebo's Brian Molko and Fun Lovin' Criminals frontman Huey Morgan shared their thoughts on fame, money and why people really get into music.
Brian revealed he wasn't living the rock star lifestyle despite Placebo's success, admitting he had just moved into a new apartment with barely any furniture. He also spoke about touring with David Bowie, describing his dressing room as being packed with fresh fruit and praising Bowie for looking incredible at 50.
The conversation then turned to the state of the music industry. Huey Morgan argued that too many artists were chasing money instead of making honest music, saying many musicians of the past simply wanted a way out of difficult lives, not riches. Brian added that joining a band was often about "running away" and finding yourself through music.
