UNSOLVED 35 YEARS+ This case from a 1990 episode of Crimewatch is still unsolved: On 2 October 1988, 24-year-old Laurence Winstanley disappeared from Oldham. Almost a year later, his body was discovered at Baitings Reservoir near Ripponden. He had been shot in the head and his body weighted down. In January 1990, Crimewatch reconstructed Laurence’s final movements in an attempt to find his killer.
