One of the lesser-known stories in Supersonic (2016) is the temporary departure of bassist Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan at the height of Oasis' success. After the band reunited following Noel Gallagher's return, they were preparing for another huge tour when Guigsy suddenly stepped away, suffering from nervous exhaustion. While the rest of Oasis carried on in their usual chaotic fashion, the documentary reflects on how easy it was to miss that someone close to them was struggling under the pressure. Scott McLeod was brought in as a temporary replacement, but the drama didn't stop there. On the way to New York for their debut appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, Scott admitted he wanted to quit because he missed his girlfriend.
