The new bench boss💪🥍 On Tuesday, Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation Monica Polizzi announced the hiring of Justin Axel ‘03, M ‘05 to become the eighth head coach in salisburymlax history. Axel was an assistant coach under Jim Berkman from 2002-2007 and from 2014-2026, helping coach the Sea Gulls to seven national titles throughout the two stints. Axel was joined by his wife, Meaghan, his daughter Sloan, SU president, Carolyn Ringer Lepre, Polizzi and Chief of Staff and Vice President of Public Affairs & Strategic Initiatives, Eli Modlin at Sea Gull Stadium to formally accept the position.
