Nearly 2 million people in Gaza have been repeatedly displaced, struggling to rebuild their lives amid damaged homes, limited services and uncertainty.
“I hope my children’s future will be brighter than our present,” says Mayyada, a mother in Gaza who has lost her home and livelihood.
After being forced to move from place to place, Mayyada and her family received support from the
#UnitedNations Development Programme (undp) to move into a safer, more dignified living space — a first step towards rebuilding a sense of home and stability.
“More than anything, I still wish to have my own home; to have peace in my mind, and to have peace around me,” she says.
Across Gaza, UNDP is helping communities recover by clearing debris, restoring essential services and supporting safer living conditions.
