Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said Thursday that illegal migrant truck drivers who were let in under President Joe Biden didn’t get background checks before starting the job. “President Biden let in millions of illegals into this country,” Duffy said during a briefing alongside President Donald Trump where they announced the Freedom Haulers program. “And he thought it would be a good idea that when they come in, they get a job, and they get a job driving a commercial motor vehicle,” Duffy continued. “They didn’t have the training. They didn’t have the skill. We didn’t do background checks in the last administration.” The Freedom Haulers program is a program that encourages veterans to apply to be truck drivers and removes illegal migrant truck drivers.
