Ahead of the event, the White House did not share any details concerning President Trump's specific announcement. On Wednesday, the Department of Energy announced the first projects selected under the Genesis Mission Request for Applications (RFA) as part of President Trump’s Genesis Mission to accelerate AI-driven scientific discovery. The nearly 300 projects selected will address energy, scientific, and engineering challenges, including nuclear energy, critical mineral extraction, intelligent chip design, and commercial fusion energy.
