Burning Man is unlike any club or festival I have ever played. It is neither of these things. It is a life-changing experience, and last year I was lucky enough to DJ five different moments out on the playa.
Here is what it actually taught me:
Community over everything. It is about giving freely. From art cars to sound camps to the smallest gestures in line, everything you share becomes part of the experience.
Art as a gift. Your music is an offering. You debut tracks, take real risks, and let your sound live next to the sculptures, the costumes, and the desert itself.
Stay ready and stay fluid. Schedules change, weather shifts, gear breaks. You come prepared, you stay flexible, and you let the chaos become part of the art.
Be fully in the moment. The crowd is not waiting for the drop. They are waiting to feel. Trust your instincts, read the space in real time, and let every track mirror the moment.
