Portugal and Real Madrid great Luis Figo has launched a scathing attack on Gianni Infantino, urging the besieged FIFA president to resign.
Writing for the Daily Mail, Figo said it was "too late to save his [Infantino's] dignity but it is not too late to save football. He should go. Now."
Figo ran for the FIFA presidency in 2015, the year before Infantino took charge, but ultimately withdrew from a race won by Sepp Blatter. Infantino's current term ends in 2027 and he is seeking re-election.
