Happy 10th anniversary to the film that changed my life: THE INTENT.
After releasing It’s A Lot, I was feeling a bit deflated and wondering what was next. Then, over Christmas 2013, nickyslimting called me with an idea for a street film called Rudeboy Intentions.
A few months later we’d built out the script, raised a small budget from friends who believed in us, called in favours on almost everything, from locations to cars and shot the film in just 15 days.
The first edit wasn’t what I’d imagined, so thanks to Penny Woolcock, I met editor Alex Fry. Together we reshaped the film into the version we’d always hoped for. Nicky somehow managed to pull together an incredible soundtrack through countless favours, and Keni Desai convinced us to change the title to THE INTENT. Thank God he did.
