Today, I learned a skill I hope I never have to use but one I’m truly grateful to have learned .
I had the opportunity to attend a Basic First Aid training where I learned how to first of all assess an emergency, ensure the scene is safe, check for danger, response, airway, breathing, and circulation,
Perform CPR using 30 chest compression and 2 resce breaths, and provide first aid in situations such as snake bites, fainting, drowning, burns, choking, and other common emergencies.
The experience today reminded me that first aid is not just for doctors or healthcare professionals.
It’s a life skill that every one of us should have because in an emergency, the first few minutes can make all the difference.
You never know when someone might need your help. Learning these skills today could mean saving a life tomorrow.
