Day 9 of Seahawks training camp and another post from my daily visual journal of camp. For those of new to this project, I had a strong sense that my work was feeling flat and lifeless, and so in an effort spark my creativity and seeing, I resuscitated a similar project I did years ago in a similar situation. That time, I shot and posted every day for a month. This time, my goal is to post a photo each day of practice at training camp.
After practice, the families of players are allowed onto the field and you can find pockets of players and their loved ones spending some cherished time together during the long days of camp. Players arrive at the facility early and leave late, and for a time they stay at the team hotel, and so time with family is both valuable and cherished.
Walking off the field, I saw safety Julian Love with his four-month old son Isaiah, playfully lifting him into the air, joy spread across both their faces. I was a fair distance from them , but used a 70-200mm zoo...
