Day 5 of Seahawks training camp and another post as I try to post every day of camp to help break out of a creative rut. If you’re a sports fan, you’ve undoubtedly heard a broadcaster talked about a defender covering a receiver “step-by-step “or “stride for stride “. On this play, defensive back Michael Dansby was covering receiver Rashad Rochelle in a pass drill. It was easy for me to get peak action on this play, as it was a one-on-one drill, and so this was the only thing I had to focus on (vs real game action, where there are 22 players and seven officials to keep track of). The first frame is peak action as the ball is still in midair, and the rest of the sequence shows Dansby making a nice play on the ball for an interception. The thing that is visually striking to me about this series is if you look at their bodies - from helmet to shoes - they are in lockstep motion with their arms and legs and feet at the exact same angles - as if they were dancing.
