Not every dessert has to be sweet. Referred to as "Georgia Ice Cream," Nora Mill's white grit recipe is known around the South for their delicious flavor. noramillgranary is a grist mill that was established way back in 1876 and is still turning their original stones today, and it's all powered by the beautiful Chattahoochee River. They use massive 1,500-pound burr stones to grind wheat and corn down into products such as flour, pancake and bread mixes, cornmeal, and of course the famous grits.
In addition to the grist mill, you'll also find a collection of assorted goods in the general store. Items such as homemade jams and jellies, candy, kitchenware and more. The Nora Mill Granary is a North Georgia staple if I've ever seen one and something we absolutely recommend to anyone in the area.
