Your reps don't need more motivation. They need a roadmap. Most sales leaders tell new reps what success looks like. Far fewer show them exactly how to get there. If your goal is for a new rep to reach $8K/month within four months, don't just communicate the destination. Break down every week of the journey. We've found that the fastest-ramping teams define the minimum activity and production expectations for every stage of the ramp. Month one might be a $2K target. Instead of hoping they figure it out, map out exactly what they should accomplish in weeks one through four. Then repeat the process for months two, three, and four. That level of clarity removes uncertainty, makes coaching more effective, and gives reps confidence because they always know what "winning this week" looks like.
