“Where’s the empathy at?”
As the search for answers in Nolan Wells’ death continues, his father, Elmore Wonsley, is speaking out about the attacks aimed at his wife and family: on their character, their jobs, their grief.
“A parent can’t grieve when you have people attacking them,” he said, before widening the plea beyond his own family: every family waiting on answers deserves them. Wonsley broke down in tears discussing the impact of losing a child and encouraged support for other families at the press conference, including the family of Daniel Irving whose death was covered up as a drowning, and the family of Tyler Smith whose shooting death was deemed “self-inflicted” despite the family disputing that conclusion.
