#ODB’s “DIRT McGIRT” is one of the great lost Roc-A-Fella albums 🔥 After his release from prison in 2003, ODB signed to Roc-A-Fella Records under his new name Dirt McGirt and immediately started recording what was supposed to be his third studio album. The project (later released digitally and retitled to “A Son Unique”) featured production from heavy hitters including RZA, The Neptunes, DJ Premier, and others, with guest appearances from fellow Wu-Tang members and Roc artists. It was a wild, chaotic, and surprisingly focused collection of tracks that captured Dirty’s unique energy while trying to polish his sound for a major-label comeback. Unfortunately, the album was shelved following ODB’s tragic death in November 2004. Legal battles between Roc-A-Fella, Dame Dash, and the estate kept it in limbo.
