This past weekend, U16s @wphawks player Bella-Cruize Appelman played her 150th game in the SMJFL, making her only the third girl to do so in league history, and the second to mark this milestone at one club. Girls' footy looked very different back in 2016 when Bella started out, with the @aflw ramping up to launch in her first year of competition. Throughout her journey, Bella has marked many milestones and opportunities, including the @stkildafc Next Gen Academy (now STK Academy), SMJFL Interleague, and receiving her 10 year player award in 2025. Bella continues to be heavily involved in footy in almost every way possible, including by Assistant Coaching the U14 Waverley Park Hawks Girls team, and goal umpiring in the @westgippslandfn Senior Men's Competition on Saturdays.
