In July, BWH forward Avery Diljee had the opportunity to attend the Women Of Colour Hockey camp where she served as one of the coaches! The camp brought players and coaches of all ages together as part of the WCHC’s mission to break down barriers, while promoting growth and change for women of colour competing at all levels across the women’s hockey community. In 2025, Diljee was fortunate to be selected as the recipient of the Bernice Carnegie Scholarship Award from the WCHC, which recognizes an individual embodies leadership, and a genuine passion for the sport of hockey. We’re proud to have Avery representing Brock Women’s Hockey through her work at the WCHC camp; serving as a fantastic role model, helping girls found confidence, built friendships, and be part of a global community striving to create change throughout the game of hockey! #HockeyIsForEveryone #theWCHC #WeAreBadgers
