My family always grew up rescuing kittens. In Cyprus. In Saudi Arabia. In Canada. When I went to university we weren’t allowed to have cats in the dorms so I made do with some weird crazy fish and a tiny shark but that’s another story. When I graduated I ran to a cat spot in Edmonton and adopted a tiny crazy tuxedo cat and named him Jake. That was 23 years ago. A few years later I found a tiny all black blind asthmatic permankitten abandoned. I name him Frank and brought him home and Jake became this perfect cat daddy. A few years later I adopted Zeke and Alfie in LA. Zeke had a neurological disease and so I brought him home to do cat hospice and love him while he was on his way. Alfie was a true angel who stole every heart. Over the years they have all slowly made their way over the rainbow bridge. I haven’t shared because well grief is a funny thing. Well a couple days ago a couple new friends chose me and well…. Head over to hannahsimonelovescats and you’ll see what I’m talking abou...
