2016 🫶🏻🥹
This one is a long one, because that was such a monumental year for me. First 16’ jump, first World Indoor Champs medal, and first Olympic medal after breaking a pole (and my wrist) just 7 weeks before the Trials. I went on to break the Outdoor American Record, with a jump of 16’5”/5meters at the Diamond League Final. 2016 remains the most special year of my career thus far, which I have no problem saying, because the ten years following that have also been incredible. So many memories, and so many achievements - but I’ll always remember 2016 as the year that launched me into the spotlight and to heights I am so grateful to have flown over. Reminiscing makes me appreciate where I am now - still chasing my dream, at the top of my game, and with even more on the horizon… whether it’s more flying over records or helping everyone around me reach their goals, too. 2026… the year of the Fire Horse! This horse girlie is embracing that energy 🫶🏻 🐎 ✨ 🔥 Let’s do this thing!!!
