For one of the Trial Lawyer of the Year recipients, Kathryn Lee Boyd, the words “public justice” take many forms. In the case Kashef et al. v. BNP Paribas et al., it meant nearly ten years of litigation that helped secure a historic human rights verdict for more than 23,000 Sudanese refugees. We spoke with her about what this award means to her as the originator of the litigation.
