when i was a little girl absolutely obsessed with the fast franchise and suki was everything. she wasn’t the main character and she wasn’t in the movie for long with only had a handful of lines….. but for me she stole the entire film. in a world that was so heavily dominated by men, here was this unapologetically loud, pink, confident woman who held her own against everyone. she wasn’t there to be rescued or pushed to the side, she was just soooo cool because she knew she was. over 20 years later, people are still recreating her look, talking about her pink honda s2000 and honestly, allowing little girls like to add another layer to the franchise. looking back now, i don’t think little me realised why i loved her so much, i just knew she made me feel like girls belonged in that world too. so this edit is a little love letter to suki. just playing around with these kind of edits. it’s super new for me, so i’d genuinely love any feedback, tips or thoughts. i’m keen to keep learning...
