Rory Brickenden, Westport GAA player and Trinity graduate, was on the history-making All-Ireland Mayo Senior Football team on 26 July 2026. Rory played for the Mayo Senior Men's Football team in the All-Ireland Senior Football final against Kerry at Croke Park, bringing the long-awaited Sam Maguire Cup back to his hometown of Westport, County Mayo. We are especially proud to celebrate Rory, who played a key role in this historic victory. He was a Trinity Sports Scholar and represented Trinity GAA while studying Geoscience, Geological, and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at Trinity from 2019 to 2023.
