Hobbs Kessler is back and better than ever!
The 20 year old Ann Arbor native took almost two seconds off his previous personal best in the 1500m, which took place all the way in May 29th of 2021 (2 years ago today!), when Hobbs dropped a 3:34.36 at the Portland Track Festival and shocked the running world with a new Area & American U-20 Record as an 18 year old!
Kessler took down the US Outdoor 1500m Champion, Cooper Teare en route to his 3:32.61 personal best clocking over some world-class athletes at this weekend’s Los Angeles Grand Prix.
The future for American distance running is bright, with 3 🇺🇸 Men ranked in the World’s Top 10 in the 1500m based on their season’s best!
5th -> Hobbs Kessler (20) | 3:32.61 |
7th -> Cooper Teare (23) | 3:32.74 |
9th -> Yared Nuguse (23) | 3:33.02 |
Promising times for American distance fans across the nation!
